And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. (Zechariah 14:16)
Thousands of years ago, Israel’s prophets peered through time, privileged by God to witness breathtaking events that would unfold far into the future.
They saw ancient Israel restored in splendour, its towns and cities resurrected from the dead, its deserts green, its valleys fertile – milk and honey flowing again.
They saw Jews streaming back from the four corners of the compass to their dearly beloved homeland, after centuries of suffering among the nations of the world.
They saw Gentiles from those nations helping the Jews home, encouraging them, transporting them, and carrying them on their shoulders.
They saw Gentiles, “ten out of every nation” take hold of the returning Jews and say, “Let us go with you, for we have seen that God is with you.”
And they saw people; people like you, praying, preparing and travelling up to Jerusalem, here to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, and to worship the One orchestrating this wonderful work of restoration.
As they gazed ahead into the mists of time not yet passed, could it be that the prophets also saw you?
They surely trembled in anticipation as they saw these God-directed preparations being carried out for Messiah’s return in glory and power.
They knew He would be coming to install a reign of perfect peace upon the earth, and that of His government there would be no end.
Some things endure for day; some things persist for a lifetime. Messiah’s reign will last forever.
You can invest in that eternity. You can play a part in that prophecy.
Make your plans. Come up to Jerusalem. And join us in celebrating the awesomeness of our God at the Christian Zionist Feast of Tabernacles, in the way of King David.
We’d love to stand together with you in adoration before our King.
