Sometimes things are not that easy!

Thinking about things today, I felt reminded of the terrible battle it was before ? as it seemed ? the Lord was victorious in His plan and promise to lead His people out of Egypt with a strong hand, on their way to His promised land. It took 10 plagues before Pharaoh was willing to give in, and even then he went in fury after them. Also, matters actually became worse as the plagues began to strike, for the already-harassed Israelites were initially made to suffer more humiliations and harsh measures.

It somehow comforted me thinking of this, and also about the dear Gush Katif people who prayed, fasted, wept and suffered all their indignities; David Hatuel, who lost lives ? his wife and all his children ? stood and demonstrated with thousands of others in cold weather and blazing heat, seemingly all to no avail.

Their houses, lovingly built, destroyed; them all pushed and shoved onto buses, forcefully driven from their properties by THEIR OWN DELUDED SHARON-led government; their synagogues destroyed while they were scattered all over Israel in tents, hotels and temporary dwelling places. Their devoted rabbis had told them God would not allow it to happen ? promising them in His Name that they could expect a last minute miraculous intervention from Him Whom they loved. And yet they were thrown out of their homes!

I think it must be a lesson for all of us who care, who pray, who battle for Israel’s good: THIS BATTLE IS NOT GOING TO BE EASY, neither for us, nor for them. We need to strengthen our determination ? like David of old ? NOT TO GIVE UP until we have seen the glory and breakthrough of the Lord IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING. Oh – may it soon happen I pray and may we all see soon, with Israel, the deliverance of the Lord.

What humiliation it must have been to God’s servants, Moses and Aaron, when first it seemed that Evil and Pharaoh had won in spite of their great announcements, in God’s Name, of His coming deliverance.

Even Pharaoh’s magicians were able to emulate Moses in the beginning. This is the point we seem to have reached now. Our prayers and spiritual announcements have been terribly contradicted by the powers that seem at this moment to have the upper hand. But IT IS NOT GOING TO BE SO FOREVER. Hallelujah! He will win and be victorious through his saints, if we persevere. As God’s Word says so triumphantly, “Through our God we shall do valiantly, it is He who will give us victory!”

One has only to think of Joseph who knew he was chosen to rule one day and yet saw everything turn against him making him experience humiliation after humiliation, seemingly contradicting all that God had held out for him through his prophetic dreams. Nevertheless one day, when he had been humbled enough and apparently learned his lessons, he became assistant leader of the nation of Egypt just under Pharaoh.

However, one thing I have to say in honor to God is this: Although there did not seem an immediate rescue and answer of God to our Gush Katif brethren in regard to them staying in their homes Gaza, God did not sit unmoved. He judged, terribly, those responsible for this cruel and unnecessary evacuation of His people from their own God-given land. His judgment was seen in Katrina, Wilma and other disasters that caused untold damage and loss of life in the United States. The plummeting of President George W. Bush?s popularity and the removal from office of Ariel Sharon. And there will be much, much more to come if Ehud Olmert, George Bush and the nations continue on this collision course with Almighty God!

May we, in the meantime, be His priests and prophets:

Priests to take hold of the Lord and His mercy through heartfelt and fervent cries as intercessors;

Prophets to warn at every occasion those in leadership in the church and government not to touch God’s anointed – the Apple of His eye – lest worse judgments will come upon us and our nations as God’s answer to our ways.

WHAT UTTER DECEPTION! THE PLO REJECTS ALL PEACE DEALS.

The PLO was instituted in 1964 three years before the six day war in June 1967 when Israel, in a war of self-defense, recovered the so-called “West Bank”, now seen and proclaimed by nearly everybody as the quintessence crux of the Middle East problem.
This however shows that the PLO (All Palestine needs to be liberated) was not formed to erect a Palestinian state on the ‘so called’ West Bank but was instituted to replace all of Israel with a Muslim Palestinian State.

A Word From Zion

The New Testament Basis for the Restoration of Israel

Jesus was asked by His disciples whether He would restore the kingdom to Israel at that time, to which He replied:
Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
