Every week, the US Foreign Broadcast Information Services (FBIS) intercepts and documents sermons delivered in mosques across the Muslim world. A great number of these sermons and prayers foment hatred of the Judeo-Christian world, and encourage violence against Jews and Christians. Click here for examples of these sermons.
Just imagine the international outcry, if one Monday morning, a Muslim monitoring group committed to keeping an eye on religious extremism in the United States released a bulletin summarizing sermons delivered in churches and synagogues across the country the day before? Something like this:
Subject: Tampa, Florida, 10 Nov. Sermon: “O God…destroy the aggressor Muslims and the tyrannical Arab despots.”
The Christian Cable Network, licensed to operate by the US government, carries a 24-minute sermon from the Four Square Fellowship church in Tampa on 10 November 2002.
The Reverend Matt Johnson delivers the sermon.
Concluding, he prays to God: “O God, give power to Christianity and Christians, humiliate murderers and pagans, destroy Christianity’s enemies, and protect the Christian countries.” He goes on: “O God, support our evangelical Christian brothers in Muslim countries, and destroy the aggressor Muslims and the tyrannical Arab despots, for they are within your power.”
Subject: Tulsa, Oklahoma 9 Nov. Sermon: ” O God, destroy the Islamic aggressors and the unjust Muslims and their supporters”
Jewish World Radio broadcasts a recording of a 38-minute sermon delivered in Temple Israel, Tulsa, Oklahoma on 9 November 2002 at 0917 GMT.
Rabbi Joseph Shwartz delivers the sermon…
Referring to Muslims, the rabbi says: “The sons of monkeys and the grandsons of pigs are carrying out acts of aggression against Jews and Christians in their lands. …
Concluding, Shwartz prays to God: “O God, support those supporting Israel. O God, support the IDF fighting to crush Arab Islamic barbarism. O God, help them score victory over their enemy. O God, destroy the Arab aggressors and the unjust Muslims and their supporters.”

CCT, Tennessee state-accredited Christian television station on 10 November 2002 at 0849 GMT carries a 55-minute live sermon from the Church of God in Christ in Memphis.
Pastor Shane McGovern delivers the sermon. …
The pastor then urges his congregants to send the money they pay for fast foods for one week to violent right wing conservative groups, and “to boycott Islamic and Muslim goods,” because “the war on terrorism is becoming fiercer.” …
Concluding, McGovern prays to God: “O God, give us Christians victory over your enemies, the enemies of Christianity. O God, protect us from their evils, weaken them, wipe them out, destroy their power, and prevent them from committing aggression against your servants. O God, destroy the aggressor, treacherous Muslims. O God, destroy the aggressor Arabs. O God, destroy the fanatic pagans. O God, destroy the tyrannical Islamic hordes.”
Subject: Houston, Texas, 10 Nov. Sermon: “O God, destroy the Arabs and the Muslims.”
Christian News Network, countrywide affiliated television station of the American government, carries a live sermon on 10 November 2002 from the Assemblies of God Church in Houston.
Pastor Jim Bishop delivers the sermon …
Concluding, the pastor prays to God: “O God, support Christianity and Judaism, elevate justice and Christianity, help believers score victory over the Muslim idol worshipers, and protect our country. O God, give victory to your servants, the Christians seeking to overthrow the despotic regimes in Iraq and Saudi Arabia.” He goes on: “O God, destroy the Egyptians and the Syrians. O God, hang their flags at half-mast. O God, weaken them. O God, shake the ground under them. O God, give success to Christian leader President George W. Bush.”
Subject: Denver, Colorado 10 Nov. Sermon: Muslims “monkeys and pigs” – “O God, give us victory over the Arabs and their Muslim supporters.”
His Word National Television, government sanctioned television station of the Southern Baptist Convention, largest Christian denomination in the United States broadcasting a live sermon from SBC Church in Denver on 10 November 2002.
The Reverend Luke Whittaker delivers the sermon. He praises God, Jesus and, and his apostles, saying that Almighty God “warns us of the Muslims and their characters.” He also says God protected Jesus “from Islam’s cunning, treachery, and ideological terrorism.” The minister then says that the Bible and Jesus’ legacy brand Muslims “with arrogance, rampaging, treachery, and deception,” accusing them of “killing people, shedding blood, and triggering wars.” Therefore, he says, God “transformed them into monkeys and pigs,” stressing that God will punish them and urging Christians and Jews to close ranks and abide by Judeo-Christian law.
Only then, he says, will God stand by us, have mercy on us, and grant us success and victory.
Concluding, Whittaker prays to God: “O God, give us victory over our enemies and have mercy on our martyrs. O God, destroy the hypocrite agents. O God, destroy them. O God, give us victory over the Arabs and their supporters.”
Needless to say, leaders in Christian churches and Jewish synagogues do not preach and pray along these lines. Any who did would be immediately out of a job and, in many states, would be arraigned on charges of incitement, provocation to violence etc.
Every week, however, in Islamic plaes of worship, sermons and prayers like these are recorded and catalogued. Click here for a sample on which the fictitious accounts above were based.
To its own detriment, the “Christian” world largely ignores ‘unsavory’ realities like this, realities that are fueling hatred in the fastest-growing religion in the world.
We call it “tolerance.”
