A great divide exists today among Christians concerning Israel and her biblical importance. There are a variety of reasons for this, but I want to first and foremost seek – and here present – a clear Biblical basis for the importance of this nation.

Prophecy in our Day

We live in days of almost unprecedented coming to pass of biblical prophecy. For the past five plus decades, Israel has been the focal point of prophetic fulfillment as most of the events foretold in the bulk of Scripture have been set to take place here.

But end-time events are poised to impact the whole globe; all of mankind. The September 11, 2001 attacks on the mainland United States are the clearest up-to-date example of these.

The Bible, revered by true Christians as the inerrant Word of God, is really "just" the history of the land and people of Israel.

Of course, I am not here dismissing the sacredness of the Scriptures.
